The Dot Financial Literacy Project aims to bridge the gap in financial knowledge amongst underprivileged children.
Through engaging workshops, interactive games, and real-life examples, The project introduces fundamental financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, and wise spending. The program emphasizes the importance of setting financial goals and cultivates the habit of regular saving to achieve those goals. It also equips students with the knowledge of banking services, understanding interest rates, and the advantages of responsible borrowing. By providing an inclusive and supportive environment, Dot ensures that all underprivileged children can access this essential knowledge regardless of their background. Through the Dot Financial Literacy Project, young students gain the necessary skills to navigate the complex financial landscape, fostering a foundation for their economic well-being and empowering them to create a brighter future.

About Krishnav
Hi everyone! I’m Krishnav Todi, an 11th grader at TISB. Having grown up in Calcutta in a family of 4 brothers and a lot of talk on business and finance, I developed an early interest in the concept is how to save, earn and grow money. I recognize that not everyone has the privilege of these conversations in their homes, and take much too long to develop the intuitive and technical understanding of what to do with savings - whether or not you have any now or not; what to do with your earnings, whether you have them now or not, what to do with your wealth, weather you have any right now or not. If all starts with a dot. A dot that says, this is where I’ll start, a dot that says, this is where I’ll grow, a dot that says this is who I’ll be. I want to bring the conversations and topics I was blessed to grow up with that others may not have had the fortune of having experienced, and empower a generation of young learners who want to start. It’s all about a dot. The start of a new journey.
